Seward County has plenty of which to be proud. The Saints finished third in the NJCAA men’s basketball tournament last week in Hutchinson. SCCC/ATS President Duane Dunn says the Saints spoil us.
“Since I’ve been at the college since 2004, we’ve had at least one of our athletic teams compete at the national level every year,” Dunn said. “That’s something unique that I’m not sure everyone always recognizes. I think sometimes we think that’s just standard for all community colleges. It’s one of those things that we have to really relish the great success by all of our athletic teams.”
The Saints finished 31-7 and took third in the NJCAA Tournament after winning the Jayhawk West for the third time in five years. Dunn was a guest during KSCB’s Al Shank Insurance Halftime Report Friday night.
