LIBERAL, Kan. – After starting the season with their longest winning streak since 2008, the Seward County volleyball team has skyrocketed in the national polls where they currently sit at #11 in the country.
The 11th place ranking is the highest that the Lady Saints have been since week 7 of the 2009 season, when they were ranked 9th in the country. A big part of the ranking can be credited to the Lady Saint offense, which currently sits at first in the nation in kills per set (14.21), service aces per set (3.37), and points per set (20.4). They also rank in the top 10 in assists per set (12.26).
For the second straight poll, Seward County was the only Jayhawk Conference team to be ranked or receive votes. The Lady Saints look to continue their winning ways tonight (Sep. 6) when they face off against Garden City at 6:30 p.m. in the Greenhouse, before traveling to Odessa, Texas to take on Odessa (Sep. 8), Temple (Sep. 8), Richland (Sep. 9), and Western Texas (Sep. 9).
