Seward County Sherriff’s Office: SCAM ALERT

Once again the Scammers are attempting to scam the public.

Recent reports show scammers are stating they are from the Seward County Sheriff’s Office and that warrants have been issued for the victim’s arrest that can be settled by paying a fee.  The Seward County Sheriff’s Office does not call people about warrants and does not accept payment of fees by gift cards.  Law enforcement agencies and courts do not accept payments by pre-paid cards or by wire transfer services like Money Gram and Western Union.

Please be careful to whom you give your money, Social Security Numbers and Pin Numbers  to over the phone and on the internet.
