Seward County Sheriff’s Office Make Drug Busts

On July 26th, the Seward County Sheriff’s Office conducted a search warrant at a business in Liberal. During the search of the business. approximately 1.4 pounds of a controlled substance was located. The suspect faces charges of distribution of a controlled substance, distribution of drug paraphernalia, and no Kansas drug tax stamp. The second suspect faces charges of distribution of a controlled substance, distribution of drug paraphernalia, and no Kansas Drug Tax Stamp.

On Wednesday, August 14th, the Seward County Sheriff’s Office conducted a Search Warrant at a residence in Liberal. During the search of the property, approximately .2 pounds of cocaine was located. The suspect faces charges of Distribution of a controlled substance within 1000 feet of a school, distribution of drug paraphernalia within 1000 feet of a school, and no Kansas Drug Tax Stamp.

On Thursday, August 15th, the Seward County Sheriff’s Office conducted a Search Warrant at a residence in rural Seward County. During the search of the property, approximately 2.5 pounds of cocaine was located. The suspect faces charges of distribution of a controlled substance, conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance, distribution of drug paraphernalia, and no Kansas Drug Tax Stamp.

The Seward County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Liberal Police Deprtment, Haskell County Sheriff’s Office, and the Meade County Sheriff’s Office.

Ther Persons involved have not yet been convicted of a crime, and are presumed innocent. The presumption of innocence shall continue until such time that the persons accused may be found guilty in a court of law.
