Seward County Sheriff’s Office Drug Seizure

On Tuesday, September 19th, 2023 the Seward County Sheriff’s Office conducted two search warrants at two separate residences in Liberal that was found to have connections distributing illegal drugs in Liberal and surrounding small communities. The search warrant resulted in the seizure of approximately 1.65 pounds of methamphetamine and five individuals being placed into custody. Formal charges will be presented to the Seward County Attorney’s Office. Seward County Sheriff Gene Ward would like to give a special thanks to seven agencies involved to making this a very successful organized effort. Haskell County Sheriff’s Office, Grant County Sheriff’s Office, Stanton County Sheriff’s Office, Meade County Sheriff’s Office, Kiowa County Sheriff’s Office, Clark County Sheriff’s Office, and the Liberal Police Department.
