At 12:02 am Monday morning Seward County Fire Department was dispatched to a structure fire on road C south of Road 2. Units arrived on scene to find a abandoned single family home fully involved with fire. Units initiated a defensive attack and protected the area from fire spread. The dept responded with 3 engines, 3 brush engines, 2 tankers, 2 chief officers, and 11 firefighters. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation. Damage amounts are not available at this time.
