Seward County Declared a Local Disaster

Due to the ongoing blizzard conditions Monday, Seward County has been declared a local disaster.  Seward County Emergency Management’s Greg Standard is urging  Liberal residents to stay home tonight and avoid roads.  He says many of the roads in Liberal are blocked due to stalled and damaged cars.  He estimates up to 150 cars off the road in different parts of the county.   Even an ambulance is stuck.   He says the main problem is the limited visibility from the winds gusting up to 60 mph.
