The Seward County Commission met Monday evening and as a result of the Arnold Group study regarding employee wages, approved bringing 25 employees into salary range for their positions. Also approved was a cost of living raise of 2% for all employees.

The Commission approved the McCulley and Associates contract in the amount of $38,600, approved the leasing of 5 Sharp Multi-Function Printers and the purchase of another MFP for JCAPS all from Southern Office Supply of Liberal.

The County Commission approved the Hayden Tower bid from January in the amount of $299,00 for a 350ft 911 tower and authorized the County Administrator to sign the documents pending the City’s approval and the approval of County Counsel.

RJA Dozer was awarded the bid for the cell closure work at the Landfill in the amount of $296,191 at the meeting.

Two $400 Scholarships were awarded by the Scholarship Employment Committee. The recipients were Dashia Weber and Kyle Benton.
