The Seward County Board of County Commission met on Monday evening at 5:30 pm and appointed Dr. Mona Rane to a 3 year term and Ivanhoe Love Jr. and Marlene Regier to 2 year terms to the Southwest Medical Center Board of Trustees.
For Communications, the Board approved the purchase of a MCC 7500 Elite Dispatch console equipment from the Garden City Police Department for the negotiated amount of $75,000.00 to be
financed from the SB50 911 Account. Also approved was a temporary CMB License application for Lanning Brothers Barbeque to sell cereal malt beverages for consumption on county property.
A change order request for placing eifs (stucco) covering on all faces of the front curved wall of the Seward County Courthouse in the amount of $10,500.00 was approved as was the Seward County Safety Policy.
Connie Seigrist was appointed to the Council on Aging Board and will begin immediately, with her term expiring on December 31, 2027.
Three new Sharp MFP printers were approved to replace the ones currently aged out in the offices at County Attorney, District Court and the Sheriff offices.
Approval was given for the Cost Share Program Agreement with KDOT for Meade Lake Road HMA Overlay Project. Total cost of project is $1,750,000.00.
The 2025 Lease Renewal Agreement for Sheriff Department at the Liberal Airport was also approved with no change in rate from the 2024 Lease Agreement.
