At Monday evenings Special Meeting, the Seward County Commission approved extending Resolution 2020-08 which is the Emergency Declaration for Seward County. The extension will go through July 16th.
Also the Commission approved working with the KS Department of Ag in utilizing an area of land at the landfill for the composting of hogs that have to be put down due to the pandemic. When the composting is complete, the landfill will be able to utilize the material for cover for the cells at the landfill.
