Seward County Commission Approves Copier Purchases

The Seward County Commission met on Monday evening and approved a waiver for Liberal Lead to use the Ag Building for a workshop. The workshop is free to attendees, and will ultimately lead to greater leaders in the workforce.

Commissioners also approved the purchase of a copier for $8,267.50 from Southern Office Supply. The agreement includes parts, labor, travel, toner and developer.

The Commission also heard updates from Neal Coffey on the Comprehensive Plan, County-Wide Maintenance Plan, and the Safety Committee and Plan.

Two more copiers were approved at Monday’s meeting. These include for EMS a Sharp MFP model BP50C36, at $7,397.00, and for the Appraiser a Sharp MFP model BP50C45, for $7,658.00.

At the recommendation of the IT Department Seward County switched the 25 analog lines from Granite to Ideatek for a greater cost savings for the county.

Commissioners tabled the agreements for monthly consulting services and for coring and road evaluation services on approximately 120 miles of paved roads within Seward County with Kirkham Michael.

The Commission accepted Kaw Valley’s bid of for $14,000.00 for the Topographical Survey to come from ARPA funding.

In an added item Commissioners approved an engine replacement for the Landfill with Bruckners of Garden City in the amount of $44,356.00.
