The Seward County Board of County Commissioners met Monday evening and approved a request by The Hispanic American Leadership Organization (HALO) to waive the fees for the use of the Activity Center to host their Celebrate and Connection Fest: An Expo Hosted by HALO.
Commissioners approved the 2025 Benefit Renewal going with option Contribution Model #2: $507,517.
The Commission tabled the request by Stepping Stone Shelter, to utilize the Municipalities Fight Addition Funding (MFAF).
Approved was the Cimarron Basin Community Corrections Fiscal Year 2026 Comprehensive Plan Grant Application narrative and budget documentation before submission to the Kansas Department of Corrections. Also Cimarron Basin Community Corrections was given approval to move forward and purchase two (2) Nissan Altima’s.
Also, Commissioners approved the FY26 Juvenile Corrections and Prevention Services Comprehensive Plan at Monday’s meeting.
