Seward County Fire Rescue responded to a reported grass fire in the river bottom. This incident is a separate fire scene from the Arkalon Fire.

Units found 2 acres of dry grass and timber burning. Units were assisted by Haskell County, Texas County, Beaver County, Seward County Road and Bridge, and Seward County Landfill.

Fire is under investigation and Kansas State Fire Marshal Office has investigators assisting with the investigation.
