Seward Announces Volleyball Schedule

Liberal, Kansas – The 2024 season is just a little over a month away and Head Coach Aubrey Wilson has officially announced their schedule with multiple tournaments on the road against high level competition to prepare the Lady Saints for a run back to a Region VI Championship and the NJCAA National Tournament.

Seward County will begin their season on the road at the McCook Invitational for four games in two days beginning on August 23rd when they face McCook and Laramie before taking on Casper and North Platte on the 24th. They will remain on the road the rest of the month with a road game against Lamar on the 27th and then head to Laramie County for another two-day tournament where they will face Casper for the second time on the year before competing against Central Arizona on the 30th and on the 31st will end the month in competition against Northeastern and Trinidad State.

September marks the beginning of Jayhawk Conference action with the Lady Saints taking on Hutchinson at home on the 4th and will remain at home for their following two matchups in KJCCC action, facing Cloud County on the 7th and Butler on the 10th. Seward County’s final tournament of the regular season will take them out to Utah for the Salt Lake Classic where they will take on four opponents who are still TBD as of now with the first two games being on the 13th and games three and four being on the 14th. The Lady Saints then return to the Green House for a pair of conference matchups against the 2023 KJCCC Champions in Barton on the 18th before facing the 2023 Region VI Champions in Colby on the 21st. The final three games of the month will include two on the road in Pratt on the 23rd before heading to Dodge City on the 28th and will finish out September back in Liberal against Lamar for their final nonconference game of the year.

Seward County kicks off October with a three-game road trip when they face Garden City on the 2nd, Cloud County on the 9th, and Butler on the 12th before finally returning back to the Green House for a matchup with Pratt on the 16th. The Lady Saints will do it all over again on the back end of the month with another three-game road trip when they head out to face Barton on the 19th, Colby on the 23rd, and Hutchinson on the 25th with their final game of October being against Dodge City at home on the 30th. Their final regular season matchup of the 2024 campaign will have Seward County remain in Liberal to take on KJCCC rival Garden City on November 2nd before preparing for the Region VI Tournament with the top four seeds hosting the first
