Seven Teams from Seven States in Liberal for Babe Ruth Ball

Seven teams from seven states venture to Liberal for the Babe Ruth 13 Year-Old Regional Tournament in Liberal. The event will be at Brent Gould Field beginning Friday. It was Kansas turn to host the regional on a rotating basis. Liberal won the bid from the Sunflower State. Liberal’s Cimarron River Rattlers host the tournament and were an automatic birth into the event. However, the Rattlers also won the state championship in Haysville several weeks ago.
The activities began Friday with check in and a picnic at Light Park. That was followed by a skills competition and an evening of swimming for the kids at Adventure Bay Water Park. Here is today’s schedule of game in this double elimination bracket tournament at Brent Gould Field.
12- Moorhead, Minnesota vs. Parsons, Kansas
2:30- Lamar, Colorado vs. West Fargo, North Dakota
5- Boone, Iowa vs. Scottsbluff, Nebraska
8- Cimarron River Rattlers (Liberal, Kansas) vs. Boonville, Missouri.
The games begin again Saturday and Sunday at 12:30 and continue throughout both days.
