U.S. Senator Jerry Moran (R-Kan.) greeted Kansas Korean War Veteran Richard “Dick” Stoops during his recent trip to Washington, D.C.
“There is no group of Americans I hold in higher regard than our veterans, and it was a privilege to visit with Mr. Stoops during his time in Washington,” Sen. Moran said. “ I first met Dick at my Town Hall meeting in Liberal last month, and it was an honor to see him again.”
The opportunity for Mr. Stoops travel to the nation’s capital was made possible by volunteers and donors acting through Honor Flight – a nonprofit organization created solely to honor America’s veterans. During their trip to D.C., veterans have the opportunity to visit the memorials built in their honor.
