A new state law on seat belts starts Thursday and drivers could be pulled over if the re not wearing one.
The new state law makes not wearing a seat belt a primary offense, which means officers can pull drivers over just for not being restrained.
In hopes of saving lives, lawmakers passed the bill this session.
If yo re the driver or passenger in the front seat of a car and not bucked up, expect to get pulled over.
If you’re not buckled up, you’ll only get a warning, but that all changes on July 1st.
