A Scott City man was arrested following a standoff with law enforcement officers that lasted several hours.

Daniel Allan Lewis, 43, was arrested Wednesday afternoon and booked into jail on suspicion of criminal threat. The standoff began Wednesday morning after Lewis allegedly threatened a female acquaintance.

The Scott County Sheriff’s Office received assistance from the Kansas Bureau of Investigation. Nobody was injured during the standoff, which was resolved peacefully.
