The USD 480 Board of Education will have a regularly scheduled meeting tonight at 7:30 at the Education Service Center.

The only action items on the agenda include the consent agenda, food service bids, a building rental fee, the approval of a construction company for the new classroom additions at Liberal High School, and classified employment, resignations, and transfers.

Sally Cauble from the State Board of Education will also be in attendence to give a report on the H1N1 virus and how school districts can contain it if it were to hit Liberal schools. Cauble will also take any questions from the board that they may have about any topic.

There will also be an update on the new Literacy First program that was implemented district wide this year.

All meetings are open to the public and tonight’s meeting will be on Windjammer Communications channel 16.
