The Business & Industry Office at Seward County Community College/Area Technical School is offering a Basic Motorcycle Rider Course at The Kansas Armory, 730 Armory Rd and the Mid-America Air Museum, 2000 W. 2nd, Liberal, Kansas.
The course, which includes a motorcycle driver’s license, will be offered Sept. 9-11, Sept. 16-18, Sept. 23-25, Sept. 30-Oct. 2, Oct. 7-9, Oct. 14-16, Oct. 21-23 or Oct. 28-30. Students will learn to operate a motorcycle safely with emphasis on the special skills and mental attitude for dealing with traffic.
Each three-day course runs 5:30-9:30 p.m., Friday, and 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Saturday and Sunday.
The course includes a workbook, use of a motorcycle, and a certified MSF instructor. Students must wear eye protection, full-fingered gloves, helmet, long-sleeved shirt or jacket and over-the ankle leather footwear with low heels.
The course fee is $200 for Biker Rider Course or $250 for full-endorsement.
