Satanta has Chip on their Shoulders
KSCB News - August 27, 2013 7:18 am
Satanta is starting over. They have a new head coach and a very young team in 8 man division 1. 1996 SHS graduate Chip Ross steps in as head coach after assisting Dirk Cannon the past two years. The Indians were 2-7 last year and have 17 players out for football this year.
Satanta has struggled the past four years to a 3-33 clip. To make matters more difficult, they don’t have any seniors with meaningful varsity experience. But Ross says he has some juniors and sophomores ready to lead.
Ross says Jr. FB/DE/LB Adrian Longoria was as workhorse this offseason and is a natural leader. Other key Indians include Jr. QB/TE/S Kyle Abernathy, So. QB/RB/DE/LB Jesus Garcia, So. RB/LB James Turpin, and So. G/NG Bryce Hayden.
Satanta will be featured during the Tuesday morning Sportsguys.
