Seward’s baseball team played for the first time in a week and a half Wednesday in the mist in Clarendon. The Saints were sloppy in the first game and lost 9-6 before winning the second game 18-0. The Saints used all eight pitchers in the double header.

In game one, the Saints scored six in the second to take a 6-2 lead but wouldn’t score again in a frustrating loss. Seward commited four errors in the loss.

In game two, Diego Cruz was 4-4 while Jacob Fuller added three hits and Frankie Bolanos and Devan Nelson added two hits a piece. The Saints banged out 15 hits. Hayden Howard (5-3) got the win pitching two innings in the win.

The Saints are 23-22 overall and host Colby for Jayhawk West play Saturday and Sunday at 1 p.m. at Brent Gould Field. The games will air on Talkradio 1270 and kscbnews.net.
