Saints Softball Splits at NEO

The Seward softball team split a pair of games at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M Sunday morning and afternoon. NEO won 13-6 and Seward won 6-2 in Miami.
In game one, NEO led 7-1 after four innings. Seward rallied with five in the fifth but NEO had a six run sixth. Ashanti Thompson was 2-3.
The Saints took game two scoring two in the first. NEO scored runs in the fourth and the fifth to tie the score 2-2. The Saints scored three in the sixth and one in the seventh. Aaliyah Gutierrez pitched five innings allowing one earned run. NaTalia Sewell pitched two shutout innings for the win. Shyanna Stop, Avery Ragsdale, Marisela Landa, and Noemi Tudon had two hits a piece. Stop hit a home run and drove home two runs.
Seward is 2-6 and plays at North Central Texas Friday.
