Saints Offense Goes South in Loss to Colby

The Colby Trojans topped the Seward County Saints 57-46 Thursday night in the Green House.  Colby held the Saints to 19 second half points.  The Saints drop their seventh straight game.

The Saints came out ready taking leads of 22-14 and 27-17.  Colby finished the half on a 10-0 run to tie the game at 27-27 at the half.  The Trojans out scored the Saints 30-19 in the second half.

Seward shot 38 percent from the field making 7-24 for 29 percent in the second half.  Seward was 3-16 from three and 5-11 at the foul line.  Colby shot 46 percent and made 6-13 from three point range.  Colby was 13-21 from the foul line.

Nfaba Mane was Epic Touch Player of the Game with 14 points and seven rebounds.

Colby wins in Liberal for the first time since 2020.  The Trojans are 16-11 overall and 11-10 in the Jayhawk.  Seward falls to 3-22 overall and 2-18 in the Jayhawk.  Seward plays at Independence Saturday at 4pm on 107.5.
