Saints Baseball Drops game to Cowley; Winner take all title game tonight

The Seward County Saints dropped a back-and-forth game to Cowley County 15-12 Tuesday in Wichita. Seward led the game 9-3 after four innings. However, Cowley rallied back with six runs in the fifth to tie the game. The Tigers then pulled away in the seventh. Seward did make it a bit interesting in the eighth inning as they loaded the bases with two outs, but weren’t able to convert. Keegan Morrow led the Saints in the loss as he went 4-6 from the plate with two RBi’s. Seward drops to 37-21 on the season and will play Cowley again tonight in what is a winner’s take all Region VI Championship game. Bobby Doran will likely get the start for Seward. the Saints will try to punch their ticket to the JUCO World Series for the first time since 2004. The game can be heard on Talkradio 1270 and kscb.net.
