Saint Bats Rev Up in Clarendon Split

The Seward bats woke up in a mid week double header against Clarendon Wednesday at Brent Gould Field. The Saints rallied but lost the first game 7-5 and won game two 12-3.
In game one, Clarendon scored three in the first, one in the second, and two in the fourth to lead 6-1. Seward scored four in the sixth to make it interesting. The Saints committed three more errors. Johnny Griffith and Jacob Fuller had two hits a piece.
In game two, the Saints scored two in the first three innings and four in the fourth to lead 10-3. The Saints out-hit the Bulldogs 14-6. The Saints used their schedule of six pitchers to tune up for the weekend series at Cloud. Jacob Fuller was 3-3 and Deven Nelson was 3-4 while Bryson Allen and Alex Scanlan had two hits a piece.
Seward is 26-25 overall while the Clarendon Bulldogs are 19-23. Seward plays at Cloud Saturday and Sunday at 1 p.m. on Talkradio 1270 and kscbnews.net.
