Former Liberal Bee Jay Braxton Fulford is the most recent BJ player to be called up to the big leagues.  The Colorado Rockies called up the catcher on Monday for their team.  Fulford was a Texas Tech catcher when he played for the Bee Jays in the summer of 2018.  He played in 14 games going 11-43 with two doubles and seven RBI’s for the 25-19 Bee Jays under coach Bill Clay.  Fulford is 26 years old and is 5’10” 190 pounds.  The Lubbock native was drafted in the sixth round in 2021.  This season, he is batting .395 with five home runs at Triple A Albuquerque.
