Resounding Win for Redskins at Woodward

The Liberal Redskins put their re-boot on display Friday night at Boomer Fieldhouse in Woodward. Twenty-four days after an overtime loss to Woodward in Liberal, the Redskins left no doubt in an 81-65 win on Woodward’s homecoming. Liberal led by 30 twice on the way to their second win in three games.
The Skins led 16-10 and after Carson Chamberlain banked in a three, the Angry Red had a 19-11 lead after one quarter. The Redskins bolted ahead 32-15 and led 37-21 at the half. The Redskin lead ballooned to 72-32 and 74-34.
Liberal was 5-18 from 3 and Woodward was 4-17. Liberal and Woodward committed 17 turnovers.
Brooks Kappelmann was Epic Touch Player of the Game with 30 points and 12 rebounds . Zayden Martinez dropped in 19 and grabbed 13 rebounds. James Fieser had 10. Carson Chamberlain had eight.
Woodward is 6-12 and Liberal is 5-8. Liberal was 2-18 last year. Liberal plays at Hooker Tuesday night at 8 on 1270 and 92.3.
