Overwhelming wins by Kansas Republicans in
the November elections was the top story in Kansas in 2010.
That’s according to a survey of Associated Press newspaper and
broadcast editors.
Republicans swept to easy victories Nov. 2, sending both fiscal
and social conservatives to the governor’s chair, the U.S. Senate,
Congress and a host of statewide offices.
Member editors ranked the conviction of Scott Roeder, the gunman
who confessed to killing abortion provider Dr. George Tiller, as
the No. 2 story of the year.
Others in the top 10 included the approval of a state sales tax
increase and Supreme Court arguments over funeral protests.
