Redskins Weather Red Demons for WAC Win

After a 45 minute rain delay, Liberal gained a WAC win over visiting Dodge City Tuesday night at the National Beef Family Sports Complex. The Redskins beat the Demons 8-3. The Redskins had eight hits to Dodge City’s five and the Demons had five errors.

LHS scored two in the first thanks to Jared Hasik scoring from third after a DC throw to second and a Kaiden Long RBI single. The Redskins scored five in the third. Angel Archuleta had a two RBI single up the middle while the Demons beaned three and walked two. That made it 7-2 Skins. Liberal added another run in the fifth.

Hasik pitched four innings allowing two earned runs for the win before Tucker Deaton went three scoreless innings. Tim Fitzgerald was 3-4 and Hasik was 2-2.

Liberal is 11-4 and 1-2 in the WAC while Dodge City is 5-6 and 0-5 in the WAC. Liberal plays two at Garden City on Monday at 3 with Redskin Pre-game at 2:45 on 1270 and kscbnews.net. Here are the WAC standings.
