Redskins Tie Redskins at Redskin Field

Saturday after 100 minutes of soccer Wichita North head coach Brent Lewis summed it up to his team which was disappointed after a tie. He told them that was a mans’ game so go shake a mans’ hand. Liberal and Wichita North slugged it out in a defensive struggle Saturday afternoon at Redskin Field. But all either team had to show for it was a 1-1 tie after two 10 minute overtime sessions.

Liberal scored at the 3:51 mark of the first half when Samuel Cruz netted his fifth goal of the week. Raymundo Juarez assisted Cruz on the goal. Liberal is 3-4-1 and hosts Hays Thursday at 1 p.m. The North Redskins are 4-2-1.
