The Liberal Redskins are turning heads.  The Redskin soccer team beat the three seed Derby Panthers 2-0 Thursday night in Derby to seal a regional title.  The Panthers had won 12 games in a row.  Suain Moncayo scored the first goal with 13 minutes remaining in the first half.  Johnny Young scored the second goal with an assist from Seth Michel with 5:37 remaining in the game.  It’s Liberal’s first regional title since 2015 and first ever 6A regional crown.  Derby finishes 15-3.  Liberal is 11-4-3.  The Redskins play at 17-1 Dodge City on Halloween night at 6:30.
