Redskins Rout Great Bend on the Road

The Liberal soccer team opened their WAC season at Great Bend on Thursday evening.  The well traveled Redskins went to Great Bend and back one day after going to Wichita and back.  But the results are the same as the Skins are 3-0 after a 6-0 at Great Bend.  Suain Moncayo tallied another hat trick.  Giezi Gonzales scored a goal and dished two assists.

Suain Moncayo opened the scoring with a PK after a Panther hand ball in the box 5:21 into the game.  Suain Moncayo scored again with a Giezi Gonzales assist 7:22 into the game.  Joseph Salazar punched in Liberal’s third goal 13:27 into the half with an Aron Duque assist.  D’Alessandro Chavira scored the fourth goal with another Giezi Gonzales assist at the 20 minute mark.  Giezi Gonzalez scored at the 23:37 mark followed by Suain Moncayo’s third goal at the 23:56 mark.  It was 6-0 at the half.

The Redskins return to Wichita Saturday to play the Maize Eagles in the Wichita South Titan Classic at 11am.
