Redskins Fight Off Sickness and Panthers

With several Redskins playing sick, Liberal defeated the Great Bend Panthers 50-38 Friday night at Great Bend Fieldhouse. The Skins win in Great Bend for the sixth time in seven years.
The Panthers took an early 6-2 lead before the Skins reeled in a 13-0 run to lead 15-6. LHS led 15-8 after one and 20-12 at halftime. Cade Hinkle was hot for a stretch of the first half making three straight three’s. The Redskins led 31-22 after three.
Cade Hinkle scored a game high 18 while Kylan Thomas scored a season high 16. His career high was against 18 against Clinton last season.
The Redskins move into a three way tie for first with Hays and Garden City at 3-1 in the WAC while Great Bend is 3-11 and 0-4. LHS hosts Guymon Tuesday at about 7:45 on 1270 and kscbnews.net.
