Redskins Clip Clayton

Liberal gained back one key player and gained one key victory Tuesday night in New Mexico. The Liberal Redskins brought Kylan Thomas back into their rotation after missing games for injury and suspension, and it provided a shot in the arm for Liberal in a 58-49 win at Yellowjacket Gym in Clayton Tuesday night. Hayden Coker controlled the middle scored 12 and grabbing 13 rebounds and Cade Hinkle scored 14 to lead Liberal.

The Redskins led 17-8 after one quarter and led 28-21 at the half. Clayton roared out of the halftime locker room to lead 35-29 before the Skins raced to an 11-0 run to lead 40-35 early in the fourth quarter. Liberal won the game without leading scorer and rebounder Deladris Green who is nursing an injured leg.

The Redskins are 7-5 and Clayton is 12-7. Liberal plays at Dodge City Tuesday night on 1270 and kscbnews.net.
