Redskins Bring Home North Cup

The Redskin soccer team is bringing home some hardware. Liberal won the Wichita North Cup by blistering the Wichita Berean Academy 7-0 Saturday afternoon. After Liberal lost on the same field to Blue Valley West September 23 they were 2-5. They haven’t lost since and are 9-5 after their seventh straight win. Eduardo Moreno scored four goals and dished an assist while Isai Gutierrez added one goal and one assist. Jason Rios and Jorge Acosta added goals and Alex Bermudez added an assist.

Liberal dominated this game taking 17 shots on goal while Berean didn’t get a shot off.

Liberal is now ranked third in the state and plays at #5 Great Bend Monday at Great Bend Memorial Stadium.
