Redskins Blank Hays 8-0

The Liberal soccer team pounded Hays 8-0 on the turf at Fort Hays State on Thursday afternoon.   In the first half, Liberal held off Hays from scoring with Levi Flores having a great save and Yahir Salazar scoring off a deflection shot. The Redskins led at halftime 1-0. In the second half, the Redskins broke the game open.  A.J. Ramirez scored 2 with an assist from Estevan Dominguez and a deflection shot. Yahir Salazar scored his second goal with an assist from Christian Sovalbarro. Alfredo Lopez scored with an assist from Kevin Guerrero. Alfredo Moncayo scored with an assist from Estevan Dominguez. Estevan Dominguez scored with an assist from Christian Sovalbarro and Kevin Guerrero.

The Redskins are 7-2 and 4-0 in the WAC.  The Redskins host Garden City Tuesday night at about 6:30 at the Gary Cornelsen Sports Complex.
