Rattlers Finish Pool Play 3-0

The Liberal Rattlers finish 3-0 in pool play at the state tournament in Wellington.  The Rattlers defeated Walnut Ark Valley 14-4.  Liberal scored four in the first, two in the fourth, and eight in the sixth.  Max Valles pitched six shutout innings with five strikeouts and one walk.  Alex Yanez pitched two scoreless innings.  Cole Evans homered and was 2-4 with four RBI’s.  He also had a two RBI triple.  Elijah McCarter won the WOW award with several outstanding plays at short.  Cesar Burciaga was 2-3 with three RBI’s.  McCarter and Kaleb Wilmes both doubled in the win.
