Sunday afternoon, October 29th, between 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm, the Friends Church Activity Center, 1650 N. Western Avenue, will be packed with community members for the Annual Pumpkin Festival to benefit Stepping Stone Shelter.
Attendees can enjoy coffee, tea, and delectable desserts while enjoying the sounds of the Liberal High School Jazz Band. In conjunction with the festivities there will be a Cookie Decorating Contest and Cookie Auction. To enter the contest, just bring 24 cookies in a creative display and 3 individually wrapped cookies for judging, before 2:00 pm. Prizes will be awarded for, best taste, best decoration, and best display. Following the judging, there will be a live auction of the cookies with the proceeds to benefit Stepping Stone Shelter.
