Three people were injured in a crash in Finney County Thursday afternoon at approximately 12:02pm.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Jacob Wiebe, 48, from Plymell was driving a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado west on Parallel Road.

A 28-year-old Eduardo Garcia from Plains was driving a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix northbound on U.S. Highway 83. In his vehicle was 47-year-old Juliana Garcia also from Plains, and a juvenile.

The Highway Patrol reports that Wiebe stopped at the stop sign before entering the intersection at U-83. He failed to yield to the Grand Prix and hit it on the driver’s side. Both vehicles came to a rest facing north on US 83.

According to the KHP, Wiebe was taken to St. Catherine’s Hospital in Garden City to be for the treated for suspected serious injuries.

Eduardo Garcia was also taken with suspected minor injuries to St. Catherine’s

Juliana Garcia was taken to St. Catherine’s Hospital with suspected serious injuries. The state of the juvenile is unknown, as the KHP protects juveniles’ information.
