PBA Event at Billy’s Ayr Lanes this Weekend

Billy’s will be the host of the 2nd annual PBA Southwest Open in Liberal Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.  First place is expected to pay over four thousand dollars with over 15 thousand dollars of prize money available.  16 place pays 650 dollars for the last spot in the finals.  The pros will practice Friday from 2-4.  The public can play with the pros Friday with the Scratch Sweeper at 4 and the Pro Am Tournament at 6:30.  The PBA players take center stage on Saturday and Sunday for the Southwest Open championship.  Saturday’s action begins at 9 a.m. with eight games in squad A and squad B will play eight games at 2:30.  The action begins Sunday morning at 8:30.  They will cut to 16 bowlers and PBA match play begins at noon.  The event is sponsored by Billy’s Ayr Lanes, French Construction, and the Professional Bowlers Association.  Nathan Bohr, who is pictured here, won the event in 2017.
