This year’s Pancake Day t-shirts are here and Pancake Day now accepts credit cards. This year’s shirt features a running pancake, designed by Shandon Classen, son of Pancake Day General Chairman Gary Classen.
“I wanted to combine the two elements of Pancake Day—pancakes and racing,” Shandon said. “So what could be better than a pancake racing?”
Shirts are available in short-and long-sleeve sizes for children through adults size 3XL. Short-sleeve shirts are available in bright yellow, and long-sleeve shirts and hoodies are green. The back of this year’s t-shirt features a modern twist—scan it and find out what it is!
In addition to a t-shirt, Pancake Day fans will want a commemorative button to add to their collection. The button also serves as admission to the Pancake Breakfast on Feb. 12. A commemorative postal cancellation will be available at the breakfast and at the public reception later that morning at City Hall.
Pancake Day merchandise for sale also includes tote bags, aprons, bandanas, postcards, sno-globes and a variety of other items.
Merchandise will be available for purchase during Pancake Day events and can be purchased now at the Hall of Fame, 318 N. Lincoln, between 10 a.m.-noon and 1-5 p.m.
