Pancake Day Accident Sends One to the Hospital

The Liberal Police Department was dispatched at around 3:45 p.m. Tuesday, February 13, to the 800 block of North Country Estates for an injury accident.

Upon arrival, officers discovered a 2016 red Dodge Challenger, driven by a 19-year-old female, and a 2005 silver Kia Sportage, driven by a 27-year-old male, were stopped in traffic when they were rear ended, the release said. A silver Ford Explorer, driven by a 28-year-old female, was traveling south on the overpass when she struck the Kia Sportage, causing it to strike the Dodge Challenger.

The driver of the red Dodge was transported via EMS for complaints of head and neck pain.
