The City of Guymon will be hosting the annual Public Firework Display in the park this coming Wednesday July 4th. “The Guymon Fire Department has been preparing for this over the past couple of weeks”, said Fire Chief Grant Wadley. Western Enterprise Inc. from Enid, Oklahoma will fill the skies with their legendary spectacular show. Unique to this, the firework show is choreographed with music only played on Guymon’s own KKBS radio station 92.7FM. Pre-show will start at 9:45pm with fireworks starting at 10:00pm. Tune in and listen while the Fireworks are matched with music.
By SCCC Long-time Liberal resident Mary Lloyd presented a check to the SCCC Adult Learning Education program on Friday. Mary received her GED at the age of 85 in 2014 from the SCCC Adult Learning Education program and is oldest GED graduate of the program. Mary made a donation of $30,000 and will have a room named in her honor.
HASKELL COUNTY – The Haskell County Sheriff’s Office requested the Kansas Bureau of Investigation (KBI) issue an endangered persons advisory for a missing woman and her two daughters from Haskell County. The whereabouts of 23-year-old Martha Unger, and her daughters Madilynn Grace Unger, 2, and Haylie Faith Unger, 1, are unknown, and the public’s assistance is requested to help locate them. They were reported missing from their home in rural Haskell County today just before 7 p.m. It is believed Martha is driving a 2015 white Ford Explorer bearing Kansas tag 301RJY.
