Operation Round Up Allocates $17,985 to Local Organizations

On July 10, the foundation directors of Operation Round Up convened to disburse a generous total of $17,985 to thirteen local organizations that had applied for funds in the second quarter of 2024. This significant allocation underscores the impactful role of community members who choose to round up their bills, illustrating how small contributions can collectively lead to substantial support for local initiatives.

The organizations and programs that received funding are listed below, highlighting the diverse range of community needs being addressed through these grants. Each of these groups plays a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life in our area, and the support from Operation Round Up ensures they can continue their important work.

$2,795 to the Beaver County EMS for new hypersight cameras
$1,200 to the Beaver County Historical Society for the Jones & Plummer Trail Museum
$500 to the Boise City Recreation Foundation for pool chemicals
$1,000 to Hooker Fights Hunger for the summer food program
$750 to the Hooker Historical Society for the annual meeting program
$1,240 to Hooker Public Schools for the adult English class
$1,000 to Hooker Public Schools for an electronic track timing system
$500 to the Keyes School Alumni Association for a senior picture display rack
$500 to the Olive Warner Memorial Library for new seating
$4,000 to the OPSU Methodist Student Center for flood renovations
$1,500 to Sublime Sanctuary, Inc. for the spay/neuter annual clinic
$1000 to Texhoma Ministry Alliance for their food pantry
$2,000 to the town of Forgan for baseball field lights
Third Quarter Application Deadline

Looking ahead, the deadline for third-quarter applications is set for September 27, with the next meeting scheduled for October 9. Local organizations are encouraged to apply for funding to support their projects and initiatives.
