Officers to cooperate on efforts to check drunk drivers on August 15th and 16th, 2015.

Officers from the Kansas Highway Patrol and the Haskell County Sheriff’s Department will be cooperating in an effort to locate intoxicated drivers. Checkpoints operated by officers from these departments may be set up randomly at various locations in Haskell County.

Drivers suspected of intoxication will be stopped and given brief field sobriety test.
Confirmed impaired drivers will be arrested. Efforts will be made not to severely interrupt
traffic flow; citizens’ patience and cooperation will assist this important effort.
The goal of the program is to increase overall motorist safety.
