Offense Eludes Lady Saints at Coffeyville

As long as the road is between Coffeyville and Liberal, the Seward Lady Saints had a long night offensively in Coffeyville Wednesday night.  Seward shot 13.8 percent going 9-65 in a 57-37 loss at Nellis Hall.

The Lady Ravens jumped on SCCC early taking  a 17-4 lead and 19-5 after one quarter.  Seward trimmed the lead to 12 at the half trailing 29-17.  SCCC out scored CCC 12-10 in the second quarter.  Coffeyville won the third quarter 14-7 and led 43-24 after three.  Coffeyville led by as many as 23 at 49-26.

Seward was 3-20 from three and 16-28 from the foul line while the Lady Ravens shot 37 percent form the field and 5-20 from three.  Coffeyville was just 2-4 from the foul line.  Seward has been out rebounded in all three Jayhawk Conference road games this time to the tune of 52-42.  Seward only mustered two assists.

Allie Myers was Epic Touch Player of the Game with 15 rebounds.

Coffeyville has won four straight against SCCC.  The Lady Ravens are 10-2 overall and 5-1 in the KJCCC.  Seward is 2-3 in the Jayhawk.  Seward hosts Barton Saturday at 2pm in the Green House.  Saints Shoot-around at 1:45 on 107.5.  Freddy’s is the buyout sponsor.
