Wynona Beth Rapp, 83, passed away October 8, 2016 at Pioneer Manor in Hugoton, Kansas.
Wynona was born January 23, 1933 in Liberal, Kansas, the daughter of Cecil L. and Elizabeth Bell Presley Duer.
She was united in marriage to Sheldon Rapp on April 6, 1951 in Hooker, Oklahoma. They made their home and farmed in the Hooker area.
Wynona was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hooker, she accepted Christ at the age of ten, as a result of being led by her Grandma Dot Duer, she taught Sunday School and Bible studies; she was a member of the WMU, organized the senior adult activities, helped with the upkeep of the breeze way flowers and plants at the church. She was a member of the Hooker Senior Citizens Center and HAGOLU.
Wynona worked at Dunaway Manor in Guymon and was secretary at Natural Gas Pipeline Company of America. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi, Red Hat Society; she volunteered and worked with the Gray Ladies, at All Faith Ministry and the Chamber of Commerce office. She enjoyed crocheting and knitting.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Sheldon, two brothers, Dale and Raymond Duer and one great granddaughter Hoxie Rapp.
Family members include her two sons, Doug Rapp of Hooker, Oklahoma, David & wife, Terry Rapp of Hooker, Oklahoma; one daughter, Detta Marie & husband, Mike Dunnagan of Yukon, Oklahoma; four sisters in law, Ramona Duer, Roberta Cantrell, Beth Southern, Ruthe and husband, Diz Boyles; brother in law, Loren and wife Beth Rapp; six grandchildren, Sarah & husband, Gary Jordan of Poteau, Ok, Simaron & wife, Mindy Rapp of Washington, Ok, Beau & wife, Steika Rapp of Hooker, Ok, Natalie & husband, Kaleb Tuman of Prosper, Tx, Emily & husband, Curtis Winkle of Norman, Ok, Zachary & wife, Lesley Dunnagan of Edmond, Ok; thirteen great grandchildren, Nanthaniel, William and Katherine Jordan, Kallie and Kyson Tuman, George and Annie Rapp, Damon, Luke, Cameron and Henry Winkle, Bexyn Rapp, Patterson Dunnagan.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Hooker, Oklahoma with Pastor Mike McReynolds officiating. Interment will be in the Hooker Cemetery directed by Roberts Brothers Funeral Home in Hooker, Oklahoma.
