William K. “Bill” Moody

William K. “Bill” Moody, 81, died Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at Wheatridge Park Care Center.
William Keith Moody was born May 1, 1932 to Melvin and Inez (Swanson) Moody in Valparaiso, NE. At age of four, his family moved to Malmo, NE where he attended school, graduating in 1950.
He served in US Army during the Korean Conflict from 1952-1954.
Bill retired from Southwest Bell, later known as AT&T after 40 years. He owned and operated Liberal Vacuum Co. for 26 years. He was a former member of Communication Workers Assoc., Pioneer Telephone, and the Liberal Elks Lodge #1947.
On December 4, 1964, he married Oletha (Monroe) Becker at the First Baptist Church in Forgan, OK. She survives.
Other survivors include:
Step Son – Jerry Becker and wife Mary of Topeka, KS;
Sister – Beverly Dauber of Greensburg, KS;
4 Step grandchildren and 2 Step great grandchildren;
and his many nephews and nieces.
He is preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers – Delmar Moody and Kenny Moody, 3 sisters– Maxine Wilson, Darlene Voss and Diane Limback.
Funeral Service will be 10:30 am Saturday, Feb. 15th at First Southern Baptist Church with Pastor Jack Jacob presiding. Burial will follow at Liberal Cemetery.
Visitation will be 9 am – 8 pm Friday at Brenneman Funeral Home.
