William E. Bazer, II, age 73, passed away Thursday morning, March 4, 2021, at the Center at Water Front, Wichita, Kansas.
He was born July 12, 1947, at Omaha, Nebraska, the son of William Everett and Mary Jane (Peoples) Bazer. As a young boy he attended school in Omaha. After his schooling he began working as a horse jockey and later moved to Plains, Kansas, where he began working for Dekalb and later to Meade, Kansas, in 1990.
He enjoyed horse racing, caring for animals, especially his dogs, and spending time with his family and friends.
On December 9, 1969, he married Carolyn M. Nelson at Omaha. She precedes him in death on August 16, 2008.
He is survived by his children, Robert Bazer, Mary Reeds, and William E. Bazer III; a brother Paul Bazer; two sisters, Mary Titus, and Leona Clemens; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife and a brother, Jesse Bazer.
Cremation has taken place and private family services will be held at a later date in Guymon, Oklahoma. Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary, has been entrusted with arrangements.
